Bernard Butler’s written words and guitar playing form the basis of an animated video for the Music Matters campaign, recalling the early guitar influences of Roy Orbison, Johnny Marr, Chuck Berry and Keith Richards on him. “Then when I was a teenager I saw Johnny Marr playing a cherry red Gibson 355 for The Smiths. I fell in love with the sound it made. I guess that’s why I’ve always had such a big thing for cherry red Gibsons & the people who play them….”
