25th Anniversary of The Queen Is Dead

A seminal record that defined the times, The Queen Is Dead was released in the UK on 16 June 1986 and in the US on 23 June 1986. It reached number two on the UK album chart and maintained a chart placement for 22 weeks.

The photo for the inside sleeve of The Queen Is Dead was shot by Stephen Wright at the Salford Lads Club in the winter of 1985, and now hangs in the National Portrait Gallery in London.
